Tell us a bit about you and how you came to work at Priddy Books.
I graduated from Arts University Bournemouth in 2017 with an Illustration degree. I moved to London the following year and started working as a Junior Designer for Priddy.
What does a normal day look like for you?
I’ve now been promoted to Designer, so my job now involves working with some front list titles as well as helping out with specials. This can involve making gift book sets out of existing titles or coming up with completely new books.
What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is getting to come up with new book ideas and seeing how they evolve.
What bit of your job do you think people would be most surprised to learn you do?
Finding illustrators to work on a specific book and briefing them on different projects.
Which book have you worked on that you feel most proud of?
I feel most proud of Pop Flip Cook. It started with an idea I brought to a creative meeting as a junior and I have been able to work on it till the finished book. It’s really great to be able to see an idea I visualized come to life!
