Posted on December 1, 2011 by

Materials

  • large potato
  • knife
  • green and red paint
  • paper
  • blank gift tags
  • chopping board
  • ribbon

How to make it

  1. Ask an adult to cut a potato in half lengthways. Then ask an adult to help you cut out the shape of a christmas tree in one half of the potato.
  2. Press the tree shape into some green paint. Practice printing the shapes on some paper.
  3. Next ask an adult to cut a shape for the Christmas tree pot in the other half of the potato. Dip the pot into some red paint. Use it to complete your Christmas tree design.
  4. Print your design onto some gift tags. Make sure you leave the paint to dry before writing on them! Now you can wrap presents with your own design.
